History's Greatest Mysteries
DocumentaryWhat’s on History tonight? Here is the full History schedule for Monday, November 2, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
History has given Monday to one series
History’s Greatest Mysteries fills seventeen hours of today’s schedule, every hour from 7am through to the 11:05pm slot. Nothing else gets a look in during the day apart from a few half hours at dawn and the American Pickers block overnight. This is one show, stretched across a calendar day.
The primetime run is where the channel puts its weight, and it is a heavy one. At 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central), The Hunt for Osama bin Laden: Case Closed is episode 23 of season 7. At 9:02pm ET/PT (8:02pm Central), The Hunt for the Anthrax Killer follows as episode 22, and at 10:05pm ET/PT (9:05pm Central), The Unabomber: Case Closed closes the block. The two “Case Closed” titles and the anthrax episode make it a night of cases that are, at least by title, finished. Three stars each. If I have to pick one, it is the anthrax episode at 9:02pm: the longest of the three at 63 minutes. Its rivals at that hour are CIA on CBS and Celebrity Weakest Link on Fox, which are not quite the same audience.
The listings are honest about the repetition, and I will be too. The series airs twice today by the numbers, and it has turned up on five days in the current window. If you watch any of this regularly you will have seen many of these hours. That is the nature of a strand channel, not a fault.
One item is flagged as an opener: The Hunt for El Chapo: Case Closed at noon is episode 1 of season 3. It is a lunchtime slot and a series-opener flag does not make it a premiere, so I would not plan around it.
Overnight, the schedule shifts to American Pickers. The show has run for eight series and 190 episodes to date, and the channel has it at 12:03am, 1:02am, 2:04am and 3:05am. The 2:04am slot, Tough Nut To Crack, is flagged as a season 16 opener. Two stars, and a recording for those who like the show.
From 4am the channel carries Paid Program, then Amazing Facts and David Jeremiah at 6am and 6:30am. They are fixtures, not events. Skip them.
