EntertainmentWhat’s on Heroes & Icons tonight? Here is the full Heroes & Icons schedule for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
Heroes & Icons hands primetime to Star Trek, hour after hour
Tonight on Heroes & Icons is a Star Trek marathon with no other programming in sight. It starts at 8pm ET with the original series, which ran on NBC from 1966 to 1969 and totals 79 episodes. That is the pick, and the hour that anchors the night.
The Next Generation follows at 9pm ET. It began in broadcast syndication and ran for seven seasons and 178 episodes, so it is the longest of the three on tonight’s slate. Deep Space Nine takes the 10pm ET hour: seven seasons, 176 episodes, also from syndication. Voyager rounds off the night at 11pm ET, and Enterprise picks up at midnight.
None of this is unusual for the channel. The original series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager all air every day in this window, so tonight’s order is the standard one. What changes is which episode lands in the slot.
Before 8pm ET the channel is mostly crime procedural: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation takes the three hours from 5pm ET. Against the networks, the original Star Trek meets Dancing with the Stars on ABC and NCIS on CBS, which makes it the obvious option for anyone who wants an hour of old-school science fiction instead.
Also on TV tonight at 8pm ET

- CBS: NCIS

Star Trek every night: what H&I is
H&I (Heroes & Icons) is an action and adventure channel with one unmovable habit: from 8pm to 1am Eastern it shows Star Trek, one series an hour, every night of the week except Saturday. Around that block it runs westerns in the morning, 1980s action series at midday, crime dramas in the afternoon and Texas lawmen through the night.
Across the week we tracked, 77% of its airtime went to titles that came back on three or more days, and it showed no films. Weekdays follow the same timetable from Monday to Friday, so H&I is easy to learn.
What a day on H&I looks like
The weekday splits into clear blocks, all in Eastern time.
Westerns, 6am to 10am. The Rebel at 6am and Trackdown at 6:30am, then Wanted: Dead or Alive at 7am, Cheyenne at 8am and The High Chaparral at 9am.
Action, 10am to noon. MacGyver at 10am and The A-Team at 11am.
The midday run, to 5pm. A single drama takes the hours after The A-Team, and the title changes by the day. In the week we tracked it was The A-Team itself on Monday, then JAG, NCIS, Without a Trace and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
CSI, 5pm to 8pm. Three hours of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation lead into primetime.
Star Trek, 8pm to 1am. The original Star Trek at 8pm, Star Trek: The Next Generation at 9pm, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine at 10pm, Star Trek: Voyager at 11pm and Star Trek: Enterprise at midnight. It is the most dependable stretch of the channel, running on six of the eight days we tracked.
Overnight. Walker, Texas Ranger, Renegade, The Fall Guy and Nash Bridges fill the hours from 1am to 6am.
Saturdays and Sundays
Saturday replaces Star Trek with a different shape. Saturday morning is a superhero block, with Batman, The Adventures of Superman and Wonder Woman, followed by MacGyver, Martial Law, Lethal Weapon and Walker, Texas Ranger. Saturday evening is for war dramas: Black Sheep Squadron from 6pm, Tour of Duty from 8pm and Combat! from 10pm, with 12 O’Clock High after midnight.
Sunday morning carries short educational programmes, then the superhero shows again, then a long afternoon of Walker, Texas Ranger before Star Trek returns at 8pm.

How to watch H&I
H&I is a free over-the-air channel. You can watch it with a TV antenna, with no subscription, on a digital subchannel of a local station in most of the country. The channel number depends on your area, so rescan your TV if you can’t find it.
It is also carried on several live TV streaming services. Lineups differ between services, so check the channel list of the one you use.
Channels like H&I
- MeTV is the closest relative in feel: classic crime shows overnight and in the morning, westerns in the afternoon, sitcoms at night.
- Grit is for viewers who come to H&I for its morning westerns and want them all day, with western films every night.
- ION runs modern crime procedurals in the same long blocks H&I uses at midday.
- Cozi TV uses the same fixed weekday timetable for sitcoms instead of action, with The Nanny and The King of Queens in long blocks.
Who it’s for
H&I is for Star Trek fans first: five series, five hours, every night but Saturday, free with an antenna. It also suits anyone who likes their action and crime shows from the 1960s to the 2000s, on a schedule that never surprises. If you want films or anything current, look elsewhere.
