The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd
EntertainmentWhat’s on History tonight? Here is the full History schedule for Friday, October 30, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
History runs one show for seventeen hours straight
History has one idea for Friday, and it is “The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd”. It fills every hour from 7am ET to the end of the night: seventeen airings, back to back, with primetime at 8pm, 9pm and 10:03pm ET. The 9pm ET showing is the longest of them at 63 minutes and the one the schedule is built around, which makes it the pick on a night with nothing else to choose.
That is a thin night, and the honest verdict is two stars. The title appears on four separate days in our window, so anyone who has been watching this week will have seen the same show on offer many times over. Repetition is the point of the channel’s Friday, not a flaw in one slot.
Sampling the strand once is reasonable if you like the subject. Staying for more than one hour is a different decision, and the schedule gives you no reason to expect a change of pace.
The competition makes the case for watching something else. At 8pm ET the field has the World Series on Fox, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on ABC, Sheriff Country on CBS and Gold Rush on Discovery. At 9pm ET, with Halloween the following night, AMC has “Halloween” and FX has “Hocus Pocus 2”. History is offering the same hour it has offered all day, against two Halloween-week movies.
“Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo” is the other title with anything to say for itself. It fills the first four hours after midnight, from 12:03am ET, and is the better pick for a night owl. Then the channel hands over to paid programming, Amazing Facts and David Jeremiah in the early morning, and the loop starts again at 7am.
If you want History tonight, 9pm ET is the slot, and it is a modest one.
