EntertainmentWhat’s on Comedy Central tonight? Here is the full Comedy Central schedule for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
Comedy Central is a Family Guy channel tonight, from lunch to bedtime
Family Guy fills the channel from 2pm ET straight through to 11pm, and the primetime block is six half hours in a row starting at 8pm ET. Anyone who wants Peter Griffin has no reason to look elsewhere. Anyone who wants anything else should look elsewhere.
The primetime run opens with “Vestigial Peter” at 8pm, then “A Fistful of Meg” at 8:30pm, “Boopa-dee Bappa-dee” at 9pm, “Into Harmony’s Way” at 9:30pm, “Christmas Guy” at 10pm and “Grimm Job” at 10:30pm. All six come from season 12, though not in strict order: the numbers jump from S12E02 to S12E04, then E05, E07, E08 and E10. The series has 461 episodes to date across 24 series, so the channel has plenty to draw on and no need to keep to a tidy sequence.
The better reason to stay up is outside primetime. South Park: Imaginationland, a 2008 feature, airs at 2am ET, and that is the one slot of the day with a real hook. South Park then runs in half-hour blocks until the early afternoon, so the show is never far away.
The Daily Show returns at 11pm ET for 35 minutes, and it is the one break from the cartoons before a late Family Guy at 11:35pm.
Against it, Two and a Half Men is on IFC all evening, and The Big Bang Theory is on TBS from 8:30pm ET. Family Guy at 8pm is the default, and an easy one. Three stars.

Mostly South Park, then the sitcoms
Comedy Central is, by sheer volume, a South Park channel with sitcom reruns around it. Across the 13 days we tracked, South Park aired 238 times, on 12 of those days, which works out at close to 20 episodes on a typical day. Nothing else on American cable we track leans on a single show that hard.
The rest of the schedule is half-hour comedy in bulk. The channel runs about 46 programmes a day, nearly all of them 30 minutes long, and 88% of its airtime went to titles that came back on at least three different days. Comedy made up 64% of airtime, animation 29% and films the remaining 7%. It is a channel of reruns and it does not pretend otherwise.
How a Comedy Central day runs
Overnight is animated. Family Guy typically appears from around 12:30am, Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head around 1:30am, and South Park fills much of the small hours, with 3am its most common starting point. Because South Park moves around so much, it is easier to say when it is not on than when it is.
The daytime is sitcom marathons. Parks and Recreation tends to run in the morning, around 8am. Seinfeld takes long stretches of the afternoon, often from about 2:30pm, and The Office picks up from late afternoon, typically 5pm. These are blocks, not single episodes: Seinfeld aired 63 times over eight days, and The Office 69 times over six.
Primetime, 8pm to 11pm ET, is where The Office is strongest. It was the most common show in the 7pm to 11pm window, with 45 airings across six evenings, usually starting around 7pm and running for hours. Family Guy takes over on other nights, most often from 9pm, and Seinfeld covers the 7pm hour now and then. On a few nights The Daily Show sat at 11pm, in the same slot each time.
Weekends are different. Films took about 20% of weekend airtime against just 1% on weekdays, and animation dropped from 36% to 14%. Saturday and Sunday are when Comedy Central turns into a comedy movie channel for the afternoon and early evening.
Popular shows on Comedy Central
South Park is the backbone of the channel. Its numbers speak for it: it was on 12 of the 13 days we tracked, usually in long runs, and it turns up at almost any hour of the day, with the small hours its most common home.
The Office is a mockumentary sitcom that began in 2005 and ran for nine seasons, with Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Ed Helms. On Comedy Central it is the primetime workhorse.
Seinfeld is a sitcom that began in 1989 and ran for nine seasons and 180 episodes, starring Jerry Seinfeld with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards. It mostly fills the afternoons.
Family Guy is an adult animated sitcom that began in 1999 and has run for 24 seasons. It is a late-evening and overnight regular, usually from 9pm on the nights it has primetime.
Parks and Recreation is a mockumentary sitcom that began in 2009 and ran for seven seasons, with Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe. It is mostly a morning show here.
The weekend movies
The films are a narrow, consistent set: big studio comedies, heavy on Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell. In the two weeks we tracked that meant Happy Gilmore (1996), The Wedding Singer (1998), 50 First Dates (2004) and Just Go with It (2011) from Sandler, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), Step Brothers (2008) and Get Hard (2015) from Ferrell, alongside Ted (2012) and Pitch Perfect (2012). Each aired only once or twice, so the film slate turns over, but the flavor of it does not.
How to watch Comedy Central
Comedy Central is a cable channel, so it is not free over the air with an antenna. To stream it live without cable, it is on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, Fubo, Philo and DirecTV Stream. Its shows come to Paramount+ the next day. The channel no longer has its own app: the Comedy Central app closed in 2024.
Channels like Comedy Central
- TBS is the closest relative: comedy is about 95% of its airtime, built on long runs of sitcom reruns led by Friends.
- IFC runs classic sitcom reruns in big blocks too, though older ones, and with far more films.
- FX is the choice if the weekend films are what you like: films take about nine-tenths of its airtime, every day of the week.
- Paramount Network shares some of the same comedy films, such as Just Go with It, in a schedule otherwise built on reality and movies.
Who it’s for
Comedy Central is for people who want familiar comedy on in the background and do not mind seeing the same show for hours. If you like South Park, The Office or Seinfeld, the channel will almost always be showing one of them. If you want new scripted comedy, there is very little of it here, and the weekend films are mostly titles you have probably seen before.
What’s on Comedy Central most nights?
Usually The Office from around 7pm ET, often running for several hours, with Family Guy from about 9pm on other nights and South Park later on.
How often is South Park on Comedy Central?
A lot: 238 airings across the 13 days we tracked, which is roughly 20 a day, with the heaviest runs overnight.
Does Comedy Central show movies?
Yes, mainly at weekends, when films take about a fifth of the schedule. They are mostly studio comedies, many starring Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell.
How can I watch Comedy Central without cable?
Stream it live on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, Fubo, Philo or DirecTV Stream, or catch its shows the next day on Paramount+.
