MovieWhat’s on Outlaw tonight? Here is the full Outlaw schedule for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
Outlaw spends its night on a 210-minute Errol Flynn Western
Outlaw shows nine movies today, no filler, and its primetime block is built on one long picture. They Died With Their Boots On starts at 9pm ET and runs 210 minutes, so it carries the channel past midnight. It’s a 1941 film directed by Raoul Walsh, with Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland and Arthur Kennedy in the cast, and it’s the pick.
Outlaw also plays it again tomorrow, which takes the pressure off if you can’t commit the evening.
The day’s other long haul is How the West Was Won, from 9am ET, four hours of a 1962 film shared among John Ford, Henry Hathaway and George Marshall, with Henry Fonda and Carroll Baker in the cast. It’s the better choice if you’d rather watch in the morning than late.
At 7pm ET, The First Texan sets up the evening, a 1956 picture with Joel McCrea.

A western film channel, around the clock
Outlaw is a western movie channel. Across the week we tracked it showed about 23 films a week, three or four a day, and very little else: the only regular series was Bonanza, in long blocks on some mornings. Most days are a run of six to eight westerns back to back, each in a two- to four-hour slot.
That makes Outlaw one of the least repetitive channels we track. Only 12% of its airtime went to titles that came back on three or more days, because the films change every day. Nothing on it holds a daily slot. A few titles return within the week, Jeremiah Johnson (1972) and Riding Shotgun (1954) three times each, but each day’s lineup is its own.
What a day on Outlaw looks like
The pattern is simple: a film starts every two or three hours, all day and all night. A typical weekday in the week we tracked began with a western at 6am and ran films through 7pm, when the evening’s main title starts, with a second film at 9pm and often a third late at night.
Primetime is two films. The 7pm slot in the week we tracked carried Riding Shotgun (1954), The First Texan (1956), Wyatt Earp (1994) and Jeremiah Johnson (1972), among others. The 9pm slot carried titles such as They Died with Their Boots On (1941) and Cheyenne Autumn (1964).
The films span most of the western’s history. In a single week Outlaw showed two 1930s John Wayne westerns, The Trail Beyond (1934) and Paradise Canyon (1935), a long run of studio westerns from the 1950s and 1960s, and recent films such as 3:10 to Yuma (2007) and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007).
Saturdays
Saturday morning is the one place a series takes over. Bonanza runs for three hours from 8am, then the films resume for the rest of the day.
Popular films and stars on Outlaw
Outlaw has no signature show, so its character comes from the actors who keep turning up.
Glenn Ford is the most frequent face. In the week we tracked Outlaw showed Day of the Evil Gun (1968), Heaven with a Gun (1969), Cimarron (1960), The Sheepman (1958), The Last Challenge (1967), The Rounders (1965), The Fastest Gun Alive (1956) and Advance to the Rear (1964), all with Ford billed first.
Randolph Scott comes next, in Riding Shotgun (1954), Thunder Over the Plains (1953), The Man Behind the Gun (1953), Trail Street (1947) and Colt .45 (1950).
John Ford’s westerns appear too: Sergeant Rutledge (1960) and Cheyenne Autumn (1964), and How the West Was Won (1962), which he co-directed with Henry Hathaway and George Marshall.
Jeremiah Johnson (1972), directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Robert Redford, aired three times in the week, once in the 7pm slot.
Bonanza is a western series that began on NBC in 1959 and ran for 14 seasons and 431 episodes, with Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker and Michael Landon. It is Outlaw’s only regular series, on Saturday mornings and in occasional evening slots.
How to watch Outlaw
Outlaw is a free over-the-air channel. You can watch it with a TV antenna, with no subscription, on a digital subchannel of a local station in many parts of the country. The channel number depends on your area, so rescan your TV if you can’t find it.
It also streams on at least one free, ad-supported streaming service. Check the channel list of the service you use.
Channels like Outlaw
- Grit is the closest match: westerns all day, with a block of classic TV westerns on weekday afternoons and a western film every weeknight at 8pm.
- MeTV puts Bonanza, Gunsmoke and The Rifleman in a fixed afternoon block every weekday.
- H&I opens each weekday with four hours of TV westerns before turning to action series.
- TCM is the place for Hollywood films of every era and genre, westerns included.
Who it’s for
Outlaw is for people who want a western film on, at almost any hour, and don’t mind which one. It suits a long afternoon or a late night, and it costs nothing with an antenna. Because the films change daily, it rewards checking the schedule rather than tuning in at a fixed time. Anyone looking for series, comedy or anything other than westerns should try another channel.
How can I watch Outlaw without cable?
With a TV antenna: Outlaw is free over the air on a local station’s subchannel in many markets. It also streams on a free, ad-supported streaming service.
What’s on Outlaw in primetime?
Two western films, usually starting at 7pm and 9pm Eastern. The titles change every day.
Does Outlaw show TV series?
Hardly any. Bonanza is the only regular series, mainly on Saturday mornings. Nearly everything else is a film.
