Updated Monday, October 26, 2026.
Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas is on: 34 new movies this year, premiering at 8pm ET on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Sunday, December 20. Six have premiered so far.
On Monday, October 26 at 8pm ET: The Sweetest Christmas on Hallmark Channel and A Christmas tree grows in Colorado on Hallmark Mystery.
The next new movie is Who’s Coming for Christmas?, on Friday, October 30 at 8pm ET on Hallmark Channel.
What is Countdown to Christmas?
Countdown to Christmas is Hallmark Channel’s holiday season, and in 2026 it runs from Friday, October 16 to Christmas. For those ten weeks the channel shows Christmas and holiday movies around the clock, and every weekend brings new ones: 34 this year, the most Hallmark has ever made for one season.
New movies premiere at 8pm ET on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with an extra one on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26. Thanksgiving weekend is the busiest, with two premieres a night from Friday to Sunday. The last new movie is on Sunday, December 20.
Three of this year’s movies are the season’s big ones. Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story (October 17) is the third movie made with the NFL. Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True (November 28) was filmed at Walt Disney World Resort. A Grand Biltmore Christmas (December 5) follows 2023’s A Biltmore Christmas.

How to read the schedule
A new movie is repeated over the days after its premiere, often in the daytime. So if you miss Saturday’s premiere, check the week’s listings below before you go looking for it on demand. In the week’s table, New marks a 2026 movie that isn’t premiering that night: a chance to catch one you missed.
All times here are Eastern. Hallmark Channel’s West Coast feed shows the same movie at 8pm Pacific, so the premiere is at 8pm wherever you are on the coasts. In the Central time zone it’s 7pm.

Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Mystery?
Both channels show Christmas movies all season, but they do different jobs. Hallmark Channel is where the new movies premiere, and it repeats them through the week alongside favorites from past years. Hallmark Mystery, which used to be called Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, runs Christmas movies from earlier seasons, so its schedule is the place for the older titles. The year next to each movie in the table above shows which is which.

How to watch Hallmark Christmas movies without cable
| Way to watch | Live? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cable or satellite | Yes | Both channels, on the packages that include them |
| YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Philo, DirecTV Stream | Yes | Live TV streaming services that carry Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery |
| Sling TV | Yes | Hallmark Channel with the Lifestyle Extra add-on |
| Hallmark+ | No | Hallmark’s own streaming service: the movies on demand from the next day, with no live channel |
Hallmark Channel isn’t free over the air, so an antenna won’t get it. Two things changed recently: Hallmark’s movies left Peacock on May 1, 2025, and Hallmark’s TV-provider app, which let cable subscribers stream the channel, closed on March 31, 2026. Watching a premiere live means a cable, satellite or live TV streaming subscription.
If you’re planning a whole evening, the movies on TV this week page lists the films on every other channel, and what’s on TV tonight has the rest of the night’s TV.
