What’s on A&E tonight? Here is the full A&E schedule for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).

A&E runs Road Wars for eleven straight hours, then hands over to Customer Wars

A&E tonight is two shows and a lot of clock. Road Wars fills every half-hour from 11am to 10pm ET, twenty-two episodes back to back, and Customer Wars takes over at 10:01pm ET and keeps the rest of the night. If you want one reason to tune in, it is Customer Wars at 10:01pm.

That is the pick: “Lost & Found” (S08E23), followed by “Fire Drill” (S08E24) at 10:32pm ET. It is the better-sorted of the two strands, since it arrives in tidy consecutive episodes at a point in the night when the competition is thin. The 10pm slot has network crime drama in NCIS: Origins on CBS and Family Guy on Comedy Central, but a half-hour of Customer Wars slots in neatly if you want something light. Three stars.

Road Wars is the harder sell. The primetime block is four episodes, from “Dangerous Directions” at 8pm ET through “This Boot Was Made for Drivin'” at 9:30pm, and the series has now been on the air for seven series and 88 episodes. At 8pm it faces Dancing with the Stars, the World Series on Fox and a lot of other options. A channel that counts on Road Wars to hold primetime is not asking much of its audience. Two stars for the 9pm episode, “Parking Space Invaders” (S07E16).

The morning is more interesting than the evening. Storage Wars takes over from 8am ET, six episodes through 10:30, with “Hang ‘Em High Desert” (S02E01) at 9:30. The show has 12 series and 269 episodes behind it, with Brandi Passante, Mary Padian, Kenny Crossley and Barry Weiss in the cast. Storage Wars: Texas has two half-hours at 7am ET before it. If you can only catch one daytime block, make it this one: “The Mom Factor” at 8am gets three stars.

Cops, storage units and the people they catch

A&E is a channel of unscripted crime and confrontation. Across the two weeks we tracked it showed no films at all and no scripted series; reality took 63% of airtime and documentary-style true crime most of the rest. The schedule runs on two engines. One is Storage Wars, which aired on all fifteen days, 116 times. The other is a large family of police and homicide series (The First 48, Live PD, Road Wars, Alaska State Troopers, Fugitives Caught on Tape) that together fill most afternoons and evenings.

It is also one of the most repetitive schedules we measure. Ninety percent of A&E’s airtime went to titles that returned on three or more days, and a typical day still manages around 35 programmes, because much of it is short-form reality shown in long runs.

What its day looks like

The day starts with things that are not really programmes. In the early hours, A&E sells airtime: paid programming aired on fourteen of fifteen days, long-form ads for oxygen concentrators and mattress toppers ran around 4am to 5:30am ET, and religious and talk programs such as Joni Table Talk held 6:30am on most days.

From 7am the reality starts. Storage Wars: Texas typically takes 7am, and Storage Wars follows at 8am, often for hours. Late morning and early afternoon swing to policing: Alaska State Troopers and Customer Wars around 11am, Live PD: Police Patrol around noon and Live PD: Greatest Shifts around 1pm. Some days a property block such as Zombie House Flipping Tampa replaces them.

From late afternoon the homicide shows take over. The First 48 and Road Wars commonly start around 5pm ET and frequently run straight through primetime. Of the eleven titles that held primetime slots in our window, most were crime or policing series, usually starting at 7pm as a block. Late Night Law and After the First 48 took 9pm on some nights, and Customer Wars or Killer Investigations closed the evening around 10pm.

A&E rarely builds a varied evening. On most nights, whatever series starts at 7pm keeps going until 11pm, so the evening is better understood as one long marathon than as a lineup.

Weekends push further toward documentary-style true crime. That share rose from 31% of weekday airtime to 42% at weekends, at the expense of the reality shows.

Popular shows on A&E

The First 48 is the channel’s flagship crime series: a reality show that began on A&E in 2004 and has run to at least 15 seasons and more than 300 episodes. It aired 36 times in the window, often in the evening, and spawns its own follow-ups on the schedule.

After the First 48 is a documentary series and a companion to The First 48, with at least five seasons and more than 70 episodes. It usually appears around 9pm.

Storage Wars is the channel’s daily constant, a reality series that aired every day we tracked, mostly from 8am in long morning blocks. Storage Wars: Texas typically precedes it at 7am.

Alaska State Troopers is a documentary series about the state police, first aired in 2009 on National Geographic, with seven seasons and 89 episodes. A&E runs it in late-morning and early-evening blocks.

Live PD: Police Patrol and Live PD: Greatest Shifts fill large parts of the midday schedule; between them they aired 68 times across the two weeks.

Customer Wars is a reality series that aired 40 times on just four days, the channel’s marathon habit at its most extreme. It typically runs from late morning and turns up again around 10pm.

How to watch A&E

A&E is a cable channel, so it is not available free over the air with an antenna. Without cable, it is carried by several live TV streaming services, though not every major one, so it is worth checking a service’s channel list before signing up. A&E’s shows are also available on demand through the A&E app and its website, with more episodes for anyone who signs in with a TV provider.

Channels like A&E

  • Discovery shares the unscripted, all-day reality model, with border seizures, mining and survival standing in for police work.
  • History is documentary and reality almost wall to wall, with very few films.
  • TLC runs reality and documentary in long blocks, though about families and relationships rather than crime.
  • ION is the scripted equivalent: crime and policing all day, in the form of procedural dramas.
  • HGTV is worth a look for anyone who likes A&E’s house-flipping hours more than its crime.

Who it’s for

A&E is for true-crime and policing viewers who want the same kind of program for hours at a time. It does that reliably and in volume. It is the wrong channel for film, scripted drama or variety: in the window we measured, the only things on A&E that were not crime or reality were the ads and religious programs in the early hours.

What’s on A&E most nights?

Crime and policing series such as The First 48, Road Wars or Live PD, usually as one long block from 7pm ET.

Does A&E show movies?

Not in the two weeks we tracked. A&E aired no films at all in that time.

Is Storage Wars on A&E every day?

Yes, in the window we measured: Storage Wars aired on all fifteen days, usually from 8am ET.

How can I watch A&E without cable?

Through a live TV streaming service that carries it (not all of them do), or on demand through the A&E app and website.
