A daily guide to what's on TV tonight
TV Radar US publishes a guide to every evening on 38 broadcast and cable channels. Each one is built from the published broadcast schedule, puts the night in order, and makes one recommendation, so you can see in a few seconds whether tonight is worth staying in for.
Where to start
Tonight's guide always shows the current evening. Each day of the week has its own page, from Monday to Sunday, every channel has a full schedule, such as the ABC TV Schedule, and movies on TV this week lists every movie on the channels we cover over the next seven days.
Frequently asked questions
What's on TV tonight?
Tonight's guide is at the top of this page: the pick of the evening first, then the full schedule across 38 channels, which you can filter by drama, entertainment, documentary, sport, movies or comedy.
When is each day's guide published?
The day before. Each guide is published ahead of the evening it covers, and the day pages switch over automatically at midnight Eastern.
Are the times right?
Times come from the published broadcast schedule and are given in Eastern Time (ET). Network primetime shows air at the same local time on the West Coast (8pm ET is 8pm PT and 7pm Central); live sport and live events air at the same moment everywhere. Broadcasters do change plans at short notice, for live sport and breaking news especially, so if a time matters, check your TV's on-screen guide close to broadcast.
How are the picks chosen?
Each guide is written from the night's listings and background facts about the shows, and names one show as the pick of the evening with star ratings for the strongest options. They are judgements about what is worth watching, not reviews of episodes we have seen.
Do I need to pay for any of this?
The site is free to read with no sign-up. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, The CW and ION are free over the air with an antenna; the cable channels need a TV or streaming subscription.
