What’s on IFC tonight? Here is the full IFC schedule for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).

IFC spends the day on horror and the night starting Two and a Half Men from the top

Tuesday on IFC has two halves, and the join is neat. Horror films run from 4am to 5pm ET, and from 7:30pm the channel starts Two and a Half Men from the pilot, S01E01, then keeps going through S01E09 at 11:30pm. That is the best reason to watch tonight: a sitcom run you can enter at the beginning, with nothing to catch up on.

The series has 12 series and 262 episodes to date, with Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones in the cast. Primetime itself starts with S01E02 at 8pm ET and carries on in order every half hour. For anyone curious about the show’s first season, this is a tidy way to sample it. It faces the Family Guy block on Comedy Central at every slot, and The Big Bang Theory from 8:30pm.

The daytime films are the other draw. The best of them is The Return of the Living Dead (1985), at 10:30am ET: a zombie comedy from director Dan O’Bannon with Clu Gulager and James Karen. Night of the Living Dead, the 1990 version directed by Tom Savini, airs at 8:30am. House on Haunted Hill (1999) follows at 12:30pm. House of Wax, the 2005 slasher, appears twice, at 6am and again at 2:30pm ET, so there is a second chance at it.

The overnight is Sanford and Son in half-hour blocks, and Everybody Loves Raymond fills the early evening.

Pick: the pilot at 7:30pm ET. Three stars.

Old sitcoms on weekdays, films at the weekend

IFC is two schedules stitched together. On weekdays it is a classic-sitcom channel: comedy took 83% of weekday airtime in the two weeks we tracked, most of it long runs of Everybody Loves Raymond, Three’s Company, Two and a Half Men and Sanford and Son. At weekends it flips, and films take 60% of the airtime.

What it does not have is a backbone. Nothing on IFC ran on most days of the window, and only 39% of airtime went to titles that returned on three or more days, a low figure for a cable channel. The sitcoms come in heavy bursts on some days and vanish on others, so IFC is a channel you check rather than one you set your watch by.

How an IFC day runs

The early hours are a mix of films and older series. Tales from the Crypt turned up around 6am on several days, and Coach filled some early mornings around 5am.

From mid-morning the sitcom marathons begin. Sanford and Son tends to land around 9am, Three’s Company takes long stretches from around 1pm, and Everybody Loves Raymond most often picks up around 5pm. These are blocks, not episodes: Raymond aired 88 times on just eight days, and Three’s Company 67 times on six.

Primetime, 8pm to 11pm ET, belongs to the same sitcoms on most weeknights. Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men split the evening, each starting around 7pm on the nights it has, and between them they ran 64 primetime episodes in the window. Comedy took 88% of primetime airtime.

When the evening is given to films instead, they are double bills: two films back to back, typically one starting between 7:15pm and 8:45pm and a second around 9pm to 10:45pm. Late night brings more films, and on some nights The Creep Tapes sits at 11pm.

October is horror month

The window we measured fell in the run-up to Halloween, and the film slate shows it. Almost every film IFC aired was horror: the Child’s Play and Chucky films, the Nightmare on Elm Street series, Final Destination and its sequels, Halloween 4 and Halloween 5, The Conjuring (2013), The Exorcist (1973), The Mist (2007) and Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects (2005). That is a seasonal run, not the channel’s year-round film diet, so do not expect a slasher every weekend in spring. What is year-round is the shape: sitcoms on weekdays, films given much more room at the weekend.

Popular shows on IFC

Everybody Loves Raymond is a sitcom that began in 1996 and ran for nine seasons, with Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle. It is IFC’s most-aired title, and the likeliest thing to be on in the early evening.

Three’s Company is a sitcom that began in 1977 and ran for eight seasons, with John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, Suzanne Somers, Norman Fell and Don Knotts. It mostly fills the afternoons.

Two and a Half Men is the other half of IFC’s primetime sitcom pairing, usually from around 7pm on the nights it airs.

Sanford and Son is a sitcom that began in 1972 and ran for six seasons, starring Redd Foxx and Demond Wilson. It is a morning show here, usually from around 9am.

Tales from the Crypt is a horror anthology series that began in 1989 and ran for seven seasons. On IFC it is an early-morning regular, usually around 6am.

The Chucky films were the most-repeated movies in the window. Bride of Chucky (1998), directed by Ronny Yu with Jennifer Tilly and Brad Dourif, and Don Mancini’s Curse of Chucky (2013) and Cult of Chucky (2017) all aired two or three times.

How to watch IFC

IFC is a cable channel, so it is not free over the air with an antenna. Without cable, it is on AMC+, which carries its shows on demand along with a live IFC feed, and it is included in several of the live TV streaming services.

Channels like IFC

  • SundanceTV is IFC’s closest match: old network series by day, a film-heavy weekend, no daily fixtures, and the same October lean toward horror.
  • TBS and Comedy Central run sitcom reruns in long blocks, though they are more consistent about it from day to day.
  • AMC is the pick if the films are the draw: about nine-tenths of its airtime goes to movies.
  • TCM suits anyone who wants films all the time and almost no repeats at all.

Who it’s for

IFC is for viewers who like having a 1970s to 2000s sitcom on in the early evening, and for anyone who wants a film double bill at the weekend. Because nothing runs every day, it rewards a quick look at the schedule rather than habit. If you want new scripted series, IFC had little to offer in the two weeks we tracked.

What’s on IFC most nights?

On weeknights, usually Everybody Loves Raymond or Two and a Half Men from around 7pm ET, in long runs. Some evenings swap the sitcoms for a pair of films.

Does IFC show movies?

Yes, about 22 a week in the window we measured, and they take most of the weekend. In the weeks before Halloween nearly all of them are horror films.

How can I watch IFC without cable?

AMC+ carries IFC shows on demand and a live IFC feed, and several live TV streaming services include the channel.

What time does primetime start on IFC?

US primetime runs 8pm to 11pm ET, but IFC’s evening sitcom runs usually start an hour earlier, around 7pm.
