Thor: Ragnarok
MovieThor: Love and Thunder
MovieWhat’s on FX tonight? Here is the full FX schedule for Monday, November 2, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
FX’s Monday is a double Thor, and the first one is the one to catch
The best movie on FX tonight starts at 7pm ET, not in primetime. Thor: Ragnarok, Taika Waititi’s 2017 film with Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett and Tessa Thompson, gets a three-hour slot that runs right up to 10pm ET. Then Thor: Love and Thunder, also directed by Waititi and also with Hemsworth, takes the 10pm ET slot. The channel has built a Thor night, and the better half comes first.
That ordering matters, because it means the 8pm and 9pm hours are spoken for by a movie that began before primetime. If you want it, tune in at seven. If you wait until eight you have already missed a third of it. Four stars for Ragnarok, and the pick: it has the stronger cast and the better slot.
Love and Thunder, at 10pm ET and 155 minutes long, will not finish until after 12:30am. That is a late start on a Monday, and it is the weakest part of the plan. The 2022 film has Hemsworth back with Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale, and it is based on the same Thor material, but a movie of that length at that hour asks a lot. It also faces real competition at 10pm ET: Shark Tank on ABC, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Bravo, and Beat Bobby Flay on Food Network all start inside ten minutes. Three stars. It is a fine film to have on, and a harder one to commit to.
Both Thor movies have been through FX’s rotation before. Ragnarok shows up in the window on 21 October as well as tonight, and Love and Thunder on 29 October. Neither is a surprise on this channel. That is not a complaint, just a reason to treat tonight as a convenience and not an event.
The daytime has a better surprise than the evening, in a title that does not look like much on a grid. The Rock airs twice today, at midnight and again at 1:30pm ET, and that second showing is the one for people who are awake. Michael Bay’s 1996 film has Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris, and it is the best movie on the channel that is not part of the Thor block. Four stars. At midnight it is given four hours, and at 1:30pm three, so the daytime cut is the shorter one.
The Incredible Hulk, at 4:30pm ET, is a 2008 film with Edward Norton, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth, directed by Louis Leterrier. It is a sensible warm-up if you plan to watch the Thors at night, and it is the only one of the three superhero titles that is not about Thor. Three stars.
Gran Turismo at 10:30am ET gets two stars from me. It is a three-hour slot for a film that is a lot to ask before lunch, and nothing in the schedule around it makes the case for staying.
There is one old sitcom among all this: According to Jim at 7am, S05E10, “Lean on Me”. It turns up on six days in the window, so it is part of the furniture. Amsterdam follows at 7:30am in a three-hour slot, and it is only worth noting if you are home.
Between midnight and 4am the channel hands over to The Rock, and after that to Paid Program through the early hours. If you want a quiet Monday with a big-budget movie in it, FX has you covered. If you want anything that is not a movie, look elsewhere.
