What’s on FX tonight? Here is the full FX schedule for Sunday, November 1, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).

FX spends Sunday on Ghostbusters, then goes treasure hunting

Seven o’clock is the time to switch on. National Treasure, the 2004 caper directed by Jon Turteltaub, opens FX’s primetime at 7pm ET, and it is the best bet of a day that is otherwise a long film marathon. Nicolas Cage leads the cast alongside Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel. It runs 180 minutes on the schedule, which takes it to 10pm, where the sequel, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, starts at 10pm ET/PT with the same director and the same lead. A double feature is the plan, and as double features go it’s a sound one. The first film earns four stars. The second gets three: the same formula an hour shorter, and a sequel rarely improves on the film that set it up.

Late evening is crowded. At 10pm FX is up against Family Guy on Comedy Central, Naked and Afraid on Discovery, a Christmas film on Hallmark Channel, The Little Mermaid on Freeform and a local slot on Fox. Book of Secrets is the only treasure hunt in that field, which is the best case for it.

The afternoon belongs to Ghostbusters, and FX has left no ambiguity about it. Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021, directed by Jason Reitman) starts at 1:55pm and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024, directed by Gil Kenan) follows at 4:30pm, each about two and a half hours. Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd are in both. Both have been on FX several times recently: Afterlife on four days in the window and Frozen Empire on three, so anyone who wants them will have found them already. Three stars each. The 2016 Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, with Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, shows up at 1:05am, listed twice, and it has aired on seven days in the window. That’s a heavy rotation for one title, so it gets two stars.

The morning is the odd bit. Alita: Battle Angel (2019, directed by Robert Rodriguez) opens the day properly at 7:15am. Then Jingle All the Way (1996) at 9:50am and Jingle All the Way 2 (2014) at 11:50am bring Christmas in, the day after Halloween, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad in the first and Larry the Cable Guy in the sequel. Three stars for the Schwarzenegger original. One for the sequel, which is a different kind of film and not a patch on it.

Overnight, According to Jim returns for two half-hours at 3:05am and 3:35am. It is on twice today and has aired on seven days in the window, which makes it part of the furniture. After that, the early hours are paid programming, nothing more.

The shape of the day is simple. Morning is for kids’ films and a sci-fi action pick. Afternoon is Ghostbusters. Evening is two Nicolas Cage treasure hunts, and the first is the one to see.
