What’s on FX tonight? Here is the full FX schedule for Thursday, October 29, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).

FX has one series at 9pm and a movie it likes too much

The only reason to be on FX at 9pm ET is American Horror Story, and it is the only scripted series in the evening. “Devil of a Good Time” is Season 13, Episode 13, a 51-minute slot, and the anthology has reached 13 series and 132 episodes. That is a long run for a show that keeps changing its cast and setting, and a Thursday two days before Halloween is the right place for it. Everything else on FX tonight is a movie, and one of them airs twice.

American Horror Story at 9pm ET

The show gets the primetime opening, with a start at exactly 9pm ET, and it has one big advantage over the rest of the night: it ends at 9:51pm ET, so you aren’t committed to a three-hour evening. It faces ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville, CBS’s Ghosts, Dirty Jobs on Discovery and Beat Bobby Flay on Food Network, plus TNA iMPACT! Wrestling on AMC. The cast list on record includes Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga and Denis O’Hare, though who is in this season is something I can’t tell you. The show has aired on only two days in the window, so tonight’s slot is not a daily repeat.

The Mummy, twice

The Mummy (2017), directed by Alex Kurtzman, with Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella, airs at 12:30pm ET and again at 9:51pm ET. I wouldn’t schedule a 150-minute film twice in one day, and the second showing, starting nine minutes before 10pm, is a late start that runs past midnight. Watch it once in the afternoon if you must. The 9:51pm slot works better as a background movie than an appointment.

Predator in the morning

The day’s best movie is Predator (1987), at 7:30am ET, a 150-minute film directed by John McTiernan, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Bill Duke. A morning slot is unusual for it, but it’s the strongest title on FX’s whole day. Predator 2 (1990) follows at 10am ET, directed by Stephen Hopkins, with Danny Glover in the cast. It has aired on two days in the window, and the first film is the better pick.

The big afternoon block

Thor: Love and Thunder is on at 3pm ET, then Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at 5:30pm ET. The second is 210 minutes, which makes it the longest programme FX has, and it ends exactly as American Horror Story starts at 9pm ET. It’s a sensible lead-in to the evening, and I’d give it three stars. Prometheus opens the overnight at 12:34am ET, a 150-minute film directed by Ridley Scott.

Overnight

According to Jim runs through the small hours and again at 7am ET, with the sitcom appearing on five days in the window. It’s a fixture, not a find.
