What’s on AMC tonight? Here is the full AMC schedule for Monday, November 2, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).

AMC puts two Back to the Future movies in a row, and the second is the night

AMC’s Monday is a movie channel doing what it does best: building the evening around one franchise and letting it run. Back to the Future starts at 7pm ET, and Back to the Future Part II follows at 9:30pm ET. Watch both and you have spent five hours on the same story. If you can only give the channel one slot, make it the sequel.

The sequel is the better evening choice for a reason that has nothing to do with quality. At 9:30pm ET it is the only thing on AMC that works as a proper primetime movie, and it faces a thin field. The Office is on Comedy Central, HBO has It, and Syfy opens a movie of its own with The Golden Compass at the same minute. None of those is a like-for-like rival for a 1989 time-travel comedy from director Robert Zemeckis. Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Thomas F. Wilson and Elisabeth Shue are all in the cast, and it runs 150 minutes, so it finishes around midnight. Four stars, and the pick.

The 7pm original deserves more than a footnote. It is the same director and the same lead pairing of Fox and Lloyd, and it is the better film to start with if you have never seen the series. The first film ends at 9:30pm ET exactly, so the sequel starts the moment it finishes. I would watch the first one for the pleasure and the second for the sprawl.

The daytime is where AMC does something a little unusual. At 11am ET it shows The Karate Kid Part II, and the original The Karate Kid follows at 1:30pm ET. The sequel comes first, which is the wrong way round, and a reader who wants the story in order has to wait until the afternoon for the beginning. Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita are in both. The original is allotted a three-hour slot, which tells you how many commercial breaks to expect. Three stars: a sound afternoon movie, awkwardly scheduled.

My Cousin Vinny at 4:30pm ET is the surprise. It sits between the Karate Kid pair and the Back to the Future block, and it has Ralph Macchio again, this time opposite Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei in a 1992 courtroom comedy from director Jonathan Lynn. If one daytime movie is going to earn your attention, it is this one. Four stars.

Overnight, the channel runs Men in Black at 1:30am ET and Men in Black II at 3:30am ET. Both also appear on Sunday’s schedule, so this is a channel leaning on a pair it has used before. Tommy Lee Jones is in the first, Will Smith in the second, and Barry Sonnenfeld directed both. Fine for insomniacs, a three-star night shift for everyone else.

The rest is filler. Pretty in Pink fills 9am, and six half-hours of Paid Program run from 6am to 9am. The Three Stooges has a 5:30am slot and also turns up on two other days in the grabbed window. Nothing there needs your attention.

The shape of the day is simple: movies from 9am to midnight, with the Karate Kid films in the middle and the time-travel pair holding the evening. It is a coherent schedule, and on a Monday that is worth more than a clever one.
