Syfy’s Friday has a clear shape: half a day of The Twilight Zone, then a run of horror films that peaks at 8pm ET with Halloween (2018). That is a different film from the 1978 original that AMC shows at 9pm. This one is directed by David Gordon Green, and it carries Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Will Patton. Four stars, and the pick.

It runs 150 minutes, so the credits roll at 10:30pm ET, which is exactly when Halloween Kills (2021) starts. Same director, with Curtis, Anthony Michael Hall and Judy Greer in the cast. Three stars: the pairing is the plan, and the second film is the cheaper half of the evening. It is a straight run for anyone who wants both.
