Hallmark Mystery saves the best film of its Sunday for last. November Christmas, at 10pm ET/PT (9pm Central), is a 2010 television film directed by Robert Harmon, and it first aired on CBS, not on a Hallmark channel. The cast is the draw: Sam Elliott, Karen Allen, John Corbett and Sarah Paulson. Four stars, and the pick.

It is an odd night to find it here, because the evening’s billed anchor is something else. Christmas Scavenger Hunt, a 2019 American television film, holds the 8pm ET/PT slot (7pm Central) and is the billed anchor. It is also the safer choice against a busy hour: ABC has Mrs. Doubtfire, Freeform has Aladdin, Food Network has Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas. I would take it as the warm-up. Three stars, because nobody has given us a reason to expect more.

At 10pm the competition thins to The Little Mermaid on Freeform and National Treasure: Book of Secrets on FX. Either is a rewatch for most people. November Christmas is not, which makes it the easy call.

The daytime is mostly a rolling run of two-hour films, with a couple of exceptions worth setting a reminder for. A Season for Miracles, at 6am ET, is a 1999 television film from CBS directed by Michael Pressman, with Carla Gugino. It is the oldest film on the channel today by a long way, and a different texture from the 2020s titles around it. A Bramble House Christmas, at 4pm, is a 2017 film from Steven R. Monroe that began life on this very channel, with Autumn Reeser in the cast.

Romance at Reindeer Lodge, at 10am, is a 2017 Christmas romantic comedy directed by Colin Theys. Project Christmas Wish, at 8am, and Christmas She Wrote, at 2pm, are the filler on either side of the better titles.

Overnight, A Timeless Christmas opens the day at midnight and takes three hours, the longest slot of the schedule. Hearts of Christmas, a 2016 television film, follows at 2am.
