Chicago P.D.
Action & AdventureChicago Fire
Action & AdventureWhat’s on ION tonight? Here is the full ION schedule for Monday, November 2, 2026, with times in Eastern Time (ET).
ION is running Chicago P.D. for five hours straight, and 8pm ET is where to join
Five consecutive episodes of Chicago P.D. from 7pm to midnight ET is not a schedule, it is a decision. ION has committed its whole evening to one series, and the best place to join it is the 8pm ET hour, “Impulse Control” (S13E07), because it starts the three-episode run that makes up primetime.
The run goes like this: “Send Me” (S13E06) at 7pm, “Impulse Control” at 8pm, “Born Screaming” (S13E08) at 9pm, “Heroes” (S13E09) at 10pm, then “Pink Cloud” at 11pm, which is S10E05 and so a jump back to an earlier season. The consecutive numbering in the first four is the useful part. If you follow the show in order, those four hours are a clean binge, and the order is correct. The 11pm episode breaks the sequence, so treat it as a bonus and not a conclusion.
The show itself is an American police procedural, originally on NBC, with 14 series and 264 episodes to date. It is based on Chicago Fire, and Jason Beghe, Jesse Lee Soffer and Patrick Flueger are among its cast. It has appeared on four days in the window, and it airs several times today, so ION plainly considers it the anchor of the channel. That reliability is its strength and also why a rating of four, not five, is right: a block this uniform offers little by way of surprise.
The competition is stiff at 8pm: Dancing with the Stars on ABC, FBI on CBS, and Below Deck on Bravo. At 10pm it runs against Shark Tank and Watch What Happens Live. If you have a Monday habit, ION is the one channel offering the same series for all of it, so there is no need to choose between slots.
The daytime tells the same story from a different angle. Chicago Fire occupies every hour from 11am to 7pm ET, eight episodes running from S06E16 through S06E23, in order. Chicago Fire has been scheduled on six days in the window and twice today. For anyone catching up, that stretch is eight straight hours of one series.
NCIS fills the overnight and morning, from midnight to 3am and again from 6am to 11am ET. The overnight episodes do not run in order (S18E10, S18E05, S18E11), while the morning run does (S18E12 through S18E16). If you record, take the morning block.
Between 3am and 6am the schedule is mostly Paid Program, with Through the Bible with Les Feldick at 4:30am ET. That is the one quiet stretch on a very full day.
ION’s primetime is recorded network programming, so it airs at 8pm ET/PT, 7pm Central.
