Showtime has almost nothing to do with Halloween tonight, and that is the point. It is a day of comedies, with horror saved for the last slot, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse at 11pm ET.

The 9pm ET anchor is We’re the Millers, a 2013 comedy directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. It is a decent choice if you want something light while the other channels go dark. It faces Halloween II on AMC and Scary Movie 2 on Bravo, so it is the pick for anyone who wants the evening to stay funny.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle airs twice, at 6:55am and again at 7pm. The afternoon is Horrible Bosses, Get Hard and Old School back to back, followed by Rush Hour at 5:15pm.

The real find is at 4:40am: Parasite, the 2019 film directed by Bong Joon-ho. It is the strongest film on the channel all day, and it will be missed by almost everyone, so record it.
