HBO treats The Gilded Age as the whole day

HBO has given nearly the entire day to The Gilded Age, a historical drama that starts running at 1pm ET and keeps coming back all afternoon and evening. The 9pm ET/PT (8pm Central) slot is the one that matters, and with Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski in the cast, it’s the night’s obvious pick. Four series and 25 episodes are on record, so there is plenty of catching up to do if you want to start from earlier episodes.

Late night is the other fixed point. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver airs at 11pm ET/PT, 41 minutes of it, then The Gilded Age comes back once more at 11:41pm ET. That is a very busy night for one series.
