Discovery clears primetime for one two-hour Expedition Unknown

Discovery has given its Wednesday night to a single show. Expedition Unknown: Lost Tomb of the Mummy runs for a full two hours from 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central), and it is the pick. A double-length slot is the channel saying this is the night’s event.

It has been building to it. Expedition Unknown has filled every hour since 4pm, so anyone who has had Discovery on all afternoon arrives warm, and a viewer who comes in at 8pm hasn’t missed anything. The show is fronted by Josh Gates. It meets Survivor on CBS and the 2026 World Series on Fox at the same hour, which is a lot of rivals for a documentary.
