Disney Channel’s primetime belongs to Phineas and Ferb

Phineas and Ferb takes over Disney Channel’s evening, and it deserves it. The 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central) half hour, Submarine Sandwich Submarine; License to Bust (S05E02), starts a run that returns at 8:30, 9:30 and 10pm, all from season five. The show has 255 episodes behind it across five seasons, and it still holds up as the channel’s best answer to a night of grown-up television.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place sits in the middle at 9pm. It is the one sitcom in the primetime block and the only break from animation after dinner. Three seasons and 35 episodes in, it has aired on this channel on five days in the past two weeks, so it is a regular, not a rarity. It is based on Wizards of Waverly Place.

Before primetime, Big City Greens carries the early evening, with Gloria Green; Daddy Ditty (S05E01) at 7pm and Fitness Test; The Farmies (S05E02) at 7:30. It is a good lead-in to the 8pm switch.

The competition is mostly adult. The 2026 World Series is on Fox at 8pm ET, and Survivor is on CBS, so sports and reality viewers will be elsewhere. Anyone with children has no real conflict.

Bluey fills most of the daytime, and Kiff closes primetime at 10:30pm.
