Full Film4 listings for Monday 2 November 2026, with times in London local time.

Film4’s best film is the last one, and it is worth staying up for

Nope, at 11.05pm, is the best thing on Film4 tonight, and the channel has put it where most viewers will miss it. Jordan Peele’s 2022 film is listed as horror, thriller and mystery, with Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun and Brandon Perea in the cast. It runs 155 minutes, which means a finish after 1.40am. Five stars, and the pick, because it is the one film on the channel today that is a clear event.

The film before it, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), starts at 9pm and runs 125 minutes. Rupert Wyatt directed, with James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox and Tom Felton. It is science fiction and action, and a sturdy choice for primetime, at four stars. A five-minute War for the Planet of the Apes interview special turns up at 1.35pm. Against it, BBC One has This City Is Ours and Channel 5 has Murder: Suspect No 1, so the audience for a big studio picture has little in the way of competition.

An afternoon of westerns

The daytime is where Film4 shows its range. The Devil at 4 O’Clock (1961) starts at 11am with Spencer Tracy and Frank Sinatra, directed by Mervyn LeRoy, and runs 155 minutes. The Guns of Fort Petticoat (1957) follows at 1.40pm, starring Audie Murphy. Both were on the channel last Tuesday as well, 27 October, so this is a second outing within a week. The Shepherd of the Hills (1941) is at 3.20pm with John Wayne, and Decision at Sundown (1957) at 5.20pm, directed by Budd Boetticher and starring Randolph Scott. That is four older films in a row, and a good run for anyone who likes this period.

The Adjustment Bureau (2011) at 6.55pm, with Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Anthony Mackie, is a sensible bridge from the westerns to the evening’s big pictures. Three stars. Overnight, I’m Your Man (2021) opens the day at 1.50am with Dan Stevens and Maren Eggert, and is the one for the recorder.
