Full Blaze listings for Sunday 1 November 2026, with times in London local time.

Blaze gambles on two openers and a long wait for them

Blaze fills Sunday with pawn shops and storage lockers, then spends its primetime on two fresh starts: Henry Cole’s Great British Treasure Hunt at 7pm and Witches of Essex at 10pm. Both are series openers, which makes this one of the few Sundays where Blaze has something to prove.

The treasure hunt is the better bet. At 7pm it faces Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One, and nothing on Blaze will win that argument head on. But a treasure hunt sits comfortably beside a day of Pawn Stars and Storage Wars, and it is a full hour starting at S01E01. It earns the pick on fit alone.

Witches of Essex is the odd one out. It is a history documentary, opening with Hatfield Peverel (1566), and Blaze has put it at 10pm against Later … with Jools Holland and Law & Order: SVU, so it has to be good to be noticed. It also aired the night before.

The middle of the evening is the weakest part. History’s Greatest Mysteries at 8pm and Secrets Declassified With David Duchovny at 9pm both turn up on four days in the window, so these are fixtures, and neither tells you anything new about tonight. Secrets Declassified goes up against Gogglebox and Live: NFL on 5. I’d take either if nothing else appealed, and no more.

The daytime schedule is a wall of Storage Wars and Hardcore Pawn, with live CHAMP Rugby, Rotherham Titans v Cornish Pirates, at 3.30pm for 155 minutes. Anyone not there for the rugby has no reason to look before 6pm.
