Full Really listings for Thursday 29 October 2026, with times in London local time.

Really’s best hour is at six, before primetime starts

The most interesting thing on Really tonight isn’t in primetime at all. The Repair Shop at 6pm is episode one of series eight, and it is on again at 2pm, so you can catch it twice if the afternoon is yours. It comes from the BBC, features Jay Blades and Will Kirk, and sits among documentary and reality shows that mostly deal in strangers’ junk. It is the one hour on the channel with some warmth to it.

After that the evening settles into its routine. The Yorkshire Auction House takes 7pm, which is no surprise: it also fills noon and 1pm, so by the time the evening slot arrives it has had a lot of airtime already. Tonight’s evening episode is the fifth series’ eighteenth. It is dependable and not much more. Against it, BBC One has The One Show, so there is little pressure on Really to be anything other than comfortable.

Antiques Road Trip follows at 8pm with Natasha Raskin Sharp and Raj Bisram on day four of their trip. It started life on BBC Two and it turns up on Really ten days out of the last eleven, which tells you how much of the channel’s week it carries. It is a decent hour, but it runs head to head with The Celebrity Traitors on BBC One, and that is not a fight it can win for anyone who has been following the other show.

The back half of the night turns to American imports. The 6000 Lb Diaries With Dr. Now is on at 9pm, episode five of its first series, and The Face Doctors follows at 10pm with its third. Both are medical documentary in flavour and both are heavy going after an evening of gentle auctions. The shift in tone is abrupt, and anyone who stayed for the antiques will probably want to switch off before the clock reaches nine.

Verdict: watch The Repair Shop at 6pm, stay for Antiques Road Trip if you like a slow-burn evening, and treat the rest as background.
