More4 saves its best for 10pm, when a new run of 24 Hours in A&E begins

The night on More4 builds slowly, and the reason to stay is the last hour of primetime. At 10pm, 24 Hours in A&E opens its 35th series with Episode 1. The documentary has 312 episodes behind it and 12 series before the new one. A series opener is the right way to end a night. It also has the field largely to itself: BBC News at Ten and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit are the nearest competition, and neither is an obvious substitute. Four stars, and the pick.
