Full GREAT! Action listings for Monday 2 November 2026, with times in London local time.

Frankenheimer’s sequel is the only reason to stay in

Great Action has one real event on Monday, and it starts at 21:00: French Connection II, a 1975 film directed by John Frankenheimer, with Gene Hackman and Fernando Rey back in the cast. At 150 minutes it takes the whole of the late evening, and it is a better bet than most of what the other channels offer at that hour, which runs to Gogglebox, Murder: Suspect No 1 and a Michael Palin travelogue on 5action.

It is the sort of film this channel exists to show. A crime thriller from a serious director, in a slot where a rolling strand would otherwise sit.

The build-up is less distinguished. Burn Notice fills 19:00 and 20:00 with A Dark Road and Friendly Fire, the same two episodes the channel ran at 11:00 and noon. Anyone who watched the daytime pair has seen tonight’s. Against NCIS on 5usa it is a reasonable fallback for people who like the show, and nothing more.

If you would rather have your film in daylight, Zulu Dawn runs at 13:00 for 150 minutes, with Peter O’Toole, Burt Lancaster and John Mills in a 1979 war film. Telly Savalas and James Coburn follow at 15:30 in A Reason to Live, A Reason to Die, a Western from the early 1970s that the channel has already shown twice in the past fortnight.

After midnight, Pistol Whipped (2008, Steven Seagal) turns up at 00:16 for the third time in the window. The Unit repeats its 18:00 episode at 23:30.
