Full Legend listings for Saturday 31 October 2026, with times in London local time.

Legend’s Halloween is an afternoon of old horror, not a primetime event

The best of Legend’s Saturday is over by half past six. Five horror films run back to back from noon, and the one to catch is The Gorgon at 16:50, with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in a 1964 film directed by Terence Fisher.

Fisher also directed Night of the Big Heat (13:25) and Island of Terror (15:10), so the middle of the afternoon is close to a mini season. Cushing is in all three of those, Lee in two. House on Haunted Hill (12:00) opens it with Vincent Price, and The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb (18:25) closes it.

Primetime is a step down in mood. The Twilight Zone: The Bard is on at eight, and Elysium takes the nine o’clock slot with Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. It is a perfectly good science fiction film, but it is also back on the schedule on 26 October, so there is nothing special about seeing it tonight. Below, a 2002 ghost film, finishes the day at 23:15 for anyone still in the mood.
