Full 4seven listings for Wednesday 28 October 2026, with times in London local time.

4seven’s evening is a Kevin McCloud double bill with a hospital at nine

If you only tune in once on 4seven tonight, make it 9pm. 24 Hours in A&E is listed as the first episode of series 34, a long-running Channel 4 documentary with 312 episodes behind it, and it is the one programme on the channel’s primetime that has a sense of occasion. It is also the hour where 4seven faces the toughest rivals: Who Do You Think You Are? on BBC One and Max Payne on 5star both start at the same time.

The first half of the night is a different proposition. Kevin McCloud turns up twice in a row, first with Listed Britain at 7pm and then Classic Car Road Trips at 8pm, each an episode 2. They sit well together as a pairing, one about buildings and one about cars. Listed Britain has the harder start, against The One Show and NCIS. At 8pm the Maserati 3500GT road trip is up against Celebrity Race Across the World on BBC One, which is a lot to ask of a niche motoring hour. It is the better watch of the two if you are already in the mood for the presenter.

Social Media Monsters closes the evening at 10pm with The Murder Of Joe Dix, the third episode, and at 65 minutes it is the longest thing on the night. The same episode also goes out at 1:40am, and the series appears on only two days in our window. It is grim viewing by title alone. Whether it earns a place after the A&E hour depends on how much of that you can take in one sitting.

Earlier in the day the channel is mostly daytime filler: A Place in the Sun from midday, Come Dine with Me across the afternoon and Gogglebox late after midnight. Come Dine with Me turns up twice today and on ten days in our window, so it is a fixture rather than a find.

The verdict is simple. A&E at nine, then decide about the rest.
